View Full Version : Pause feature would be nice

This feature request actually stems from a problem I've been having, but I think I have a work-around for.

The problem is that sometimes when Videora adds a converted movie to itunes, itunes seems to lock up and thus keeps videora from continuing the batch conversions. Once I see this and kill itunes, videora resumes it's batch, but much time may have been wasted. (I unchecked the "Add to itunes library" option and I hope this will be a successful workaround).

However, now that my batch job didn't finish overnight (because of the afore mentioned issue), I can't play unreal tournament, because that's probably too much load for my computer. If I want to suspend the conversion process, my only option appears to be to cancel the entire batch job.

So a Pause button would really be nice right about now :)

One trick I use is set the priority to the lowest, and I can easily play games while the viideo converts (Well, "While it converts" is not that accurate here since it probably encoded less than 30 secs of video during 1 hour of gaming due to the game taking all CPU cycles)

I think a Pause would be great. Don't know if FFMPEG supports it though...

Yup, doing this plus adding the converted movies to iTunes manually is probably the best workaround

Will add this to feature requests.
