I converted a movie to ps format with the ps3 video 9, it came out to 2.7 gig. I tried to copy it to the psp file server, but it wouldn't let me i dont know why. When i try to convert other smaller files it works. Does any one know why this happenes, and could they help me?

ok im assuming you mean ps3 file server. correct me if im wrong
anyway, you convert the file from orig--->converted file
does converted file play? (use quicktime)
the statement copy to psp file server sounds like you are using another hdd to copy the file to yes or no?
if yes what is the file system? goto mycomuter rightclick/properties on the drive look for filesystem. certain file systems have filesize limits
here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_file_systems) has a big list of them.
common ones are
fat 16 = 2gig
fat 32 = 4gig
ntfs = 16TiB=16x1024gig
im GUESSING but you might have an external hdd formated fat16 that is running ur file server
