Hi,
1 : Is the IP address choosen by the File Server dependent of my LAN settings?
2 : Can it be manually changed?

I believe the answers are:
1.The program only reads what's been assigned by the router. The router assigns LAN IPs.
2.If you have your router set to AUTO the router assigns them as needed, meaning they are constantly changing over time. If you want them to remain the same you have to change the router from Auto to Static.

All computers in the LAN are assigned addresses 192.168.0.xxx, but the servers address is 192.168.238.238

Correction, YOUR assigned address is 192.168.0.xxx, mine is 192.168.1.x. THe last four numbers are the port, and this uses the internet, not LAN. You cannot change your base IP address, but Dynamic IPs do change rapidly, however, this uses your BASE IP, which no matter what does not change which is why you cannot use a dynamic IP to bypass rapidshare anymore.
