Try using an AVISynth profile. If there are still problems, post a console, please.

Is avisynth installed? (It's a separate program...)

does it work for VOB and the format that downloaded youtube videos are in?

youtube videos are .flv files and can be problematic.

This isn't the part of the log we'd need to see. See below if you're having problems

Which has nothing to do with Alan's problem. Please start your own thread.

I get something very similar at the beginning of some TV episodes converted from VOB files, using the default QVGA/768/128 H.264 profile. Any help or information for us is greatly appreciated! :)

I can only repeat what you've already read in the other thread.

Well, it's happened on several episodes of the same show already - and I've also had similar grey/blocky artefacting on a music video. I'll try some more things since you ask, but I'm not expecting much.
