Hey I just figured I would start a thread for people to post ideas as to what kind of new features they would like to see in Wii Media Center X down the line...(once all major bugs are fixed obviously)

My Music - I would like to see the ability to change where my music library is stored. i.e: as it is right now, you must place your mp3 files into the music folder that was installed with the program. I have an extensive music collection located elsewhere on my harddrives and would like to just have the mp3 player be pointed to that location instead. What I am saying is it would be nice to not have to move or copy my music to this defualt designated folder.

My Music - A visualizer! a la the xbox media center visualizer; I would love to be able to have a vizualizer (such as Milkdrop or GForce) going on while my mp3s are playing.

My Videos - Playback control! I'm not sure if it's possible, but being able to fast-forward, rewind, and pause the streaming videos would be a great addition!

so what would everyone else like to see in the future?

would it be possible to have files automatically convert to flv because right now its easier for me to just go to youtube.com or other streaming sites for my episodes.

another feature which i think would be cool is have total full screen so the bottom opera buttons dont show

I'd also like to see being able to change your directories since I've got over 30gb of music I can't really re-copy to another folder. I've been looking through the files and haven't found anything yet, but if anyone finds a spot to do so, I'd really like to know about it.

Yeah I agree. Once everything is functional it would be nice to be able to configure where your media is stored rather then moving your media since most ppl have Gigs of media!

Another option that would be nice is to be able to change font and button sizes. The image that popup when selecting the category are nice on my 51" tv but the fonts are really hard to see. Especially the buttons for Play, Skip, Stop. i can barely even see them.

I would also like to see the media center able to play music from any directory you choose. The same would be true for photos and videos as well. Maybe even have a program that can convert M3U playlists into XML and placing it into a playlist folder that the site can load and include as a possible list for you to run (<- Please do that!). And when you have a large playlist, why would you want to go through it in a sequence? How about a randomizer (shuffle) function?

I also have a few suggestions concerning the layout of the music player. Right now the controls are tiny, even on a large screen. So increasing there size would be greatly appreciated. Also, is it possible to customize the layout ourselves? And if so how?

I second that idea of enlarging the controls, which are pretty difficult to see on my screen.

Think it'd be possible to have the Media Center accessible to Wiis not on the local network, a la SlingBox/PCTV/other media streamers? Wishful thinking?

Speaking of money... suggestions are great and all, but it's probably more helpful to chip in a few bucks if you've downloaded Media Center and enjoyed it. If you haven't yet, drop the guys a couple dollars for their efforts, eh?

I would like to see, that you can set your videos in a sort of playlist and they can play randomize. So after a video is stop playin that the other can play right afther the video stops
