I downloaded an mp4 movie for my ipod, but I can't add it to my Itunes library. (It says it's a quicktime mpeg-4 type file) I've use this software before to convert mp4 to I guess, ipod format
mp4. Anyway, here is my console log. It looks kinda suspicious.

Does the source file play on your system?

From what I can see, the converter doesn't like input from mpeg4 sources that aren't specifically DivX or Xvid. I've seen multiple problems from people whose source videos are reported as msmpeg4... and yours is reported as a more generic mpeg4. The converter doesn't support whatever the input format is and I've been unable to determine what is creating them.

Since the video IS already mp4... you might try the "convert for ipod" option built into iTunes.
