If the video source isn't full screen you'll need to ham handedly lop whatever you don't want off to make it full screen.

What? I mean, what boxes do I check?

It can be complicated and I don't have enough information to know what you're trying to do. It's probably no where near as simple as clicking a box. What's simple... is watching the video in the format it's in... if you want to play God and change it's format... you better be God.

Are you saying that you want to convert your videos so they're stretched and all, just so it fits the full iPod screen? If you do, then on all original widescreen films, everything will look thin.
If this above is true, they easiest way I know of would be to use AVS Maker below. Just select your video file (If it's a DVD, then you have to follow instructions in the help file), crop off all the black bars in the video, and select iPod Fullscreen. Then convert using one of the AVS Maker profiles.
