Well, seems to me that everyone gets the same error message, just a different problem to go with it. I used it a few times and it works, then i try a video a decrypted and it worked to(it was on MPG4 768kps stereo/128kps). Next, i decide to do another one. However, everytime I try to convert it, it goes for three seconds, does nothing then the error message. I tried using every single option on the right in the converting area, then checking around here for some answers, tried those, and yet I still cannot get it to work.

I'll post my console thingy to show you what I have:

What do I need to do to make it work?

An IFO file isn't video and you can't convert it.

So the problem isnt even in the converter itself, but rather in the ripper? So what would I do to make it work?

Nothing... it's not a video file. You can't make it work on a text file. The files that were ripped that ARE video files are .VOB files.

So how would I get the .VOB files from the one I have? In other words, how do I use the ripper to rip the .VOB files? What I'm understanding is that the file I do have isn't even video, I got that. Next, I can't do anything with it because of it's format. What I want to know... hold on, is it possible to extract .VOB files from IFO files? Because I think IFO and ISO are about the same. So how would I proceed to make sure that I can acquire .VOB files with the ripper.

Just so you know, I followed the instructions on the main site EXACTLY as they were posted for the ripper. Is there some DVD's that need to be ripped differently than others?

I just need to know what it is that i can do to get the correct file to get the converter to work.

If you followed the directions exactly, you should have ended up with 1 .IFO file and a matching .VOB file. What operating system are you running?

I am using Windows XP, but I'm typing this on a computer at school.

Not really sure what to tell you at this point other than to stop using Documents and settings to store stuff in... it's a ridiculous MS construct that can induce all kinds of it's own problems. Store your files somewhere else on the C: drive.

I see this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan\My Documents\My Videos\New Folder\VTS_03_0.IFO

In the directory C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan\My Documents\My Videos\New Folder\, there should be a file named VTS_03_0.VOB or VTS_03_1.VOB, if there is not, we can assume that it wasn't ripped correctly and you should try again.

Additionally, DVD Decrypter won't rip everything by itself. You may need RipIt4Me on some titles.

Well, Im back home, and I decide to check and see what else was there. As it turns out, there was a .VOB file, right below it. Although it struck me odd that the other one worked, and yet I think it was only 1 thing it ripped. The first movie that I ripped that worked was: The Day After Tomorrow. The one that had the .VOB file with it when I double checked was: Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. It's currently converting, although it seems to be taking longer than the other movie, and yet that one is 2 hours long and this one is about 20 minutes shorter. Is that normal?

Conversions take a lot of time, yes, it's normal. You're lucky if you can get it done in twice the length of the source video.
