Run the installation then run the program and it should tell you the IP to use to connect. Then you just put that into the browser.

The problem I'm having is accessing it on my Wii. It only works on my computer, but when I try to connect to it with my Wii it doesn't load anything.

I entered http://192.168.1.106:8192 on my Wii and it didn't load.

Rocky,
If you are using a router to share your internet access most likely you will have to forward port 8192 to the computer hosting media center. Just look it up in your Routers manual. Once you forward that port to the computer the Wii should be able to see it.

This is incorrect and also very dangerous. If you do this anyone who knows your WAN IP will be able to view all files on your PC.

Providing your WII and PC are on the same subnet (say for instance 192.168.1,x) your router will NOT need port forwarding. Port forwarding won't even be triggered as your router will not send the data out onto the internet and then back again.

I am experiencing the same problem (running OS X 10.4.8). I have sucessfully installed the jar, left it running in an open Terminal window, am able to access the media center in Firefox and play music etc fine. However, when entering the IP+port into the Wii Internet browser, it doesnt sem to do anything. I can include http:// in the address or not, it makes no difference. I wonder if it may be something to do with the security settings on my wireless router? Any help on this matter would be much appreciated :)
