Hey

Recently I downloaded PSP video so i could convert videos onto my PSP.
I successfully installed the software, plugged my PSP in, and then came to a problem; my PSP wasn't being recognised by PSP Video 9.

I tried installing PSP Video 9 BETA, but even that doesn't seem to work...

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Thought I'd give this a try. I know it works with the old 1.97(?) so I gave this a try with 2.17.

1.) So what you want to do is put your PSP into USB mode and connect your cable to your Computer.

2.) Your computer should give your PSP's memory card a drive letter. In my case it would be the E: drive.

3.) In PSP Video 9 Go to Settings and click on the devices tab. From there make sure you're on the PSP tab.

4.) In the Device Folder section, you want to browse to your PSP's memory card and either go to the MP_ROOT\100MNV01 for people with older firmware OR the Video folder for newer firmware. Click OK once you're in it.

5.) You'll be back at the previous screen, you should see that the Device Folder section is now populated with the drive letter and video folder, in my case it would be E:\Video. Click on Save Device Settings and go to the Library section.

6.) Assuming you already have stuff converted and haven't moved anything anywhere yet you should have stuff populated in the Local Files tab.

7.) Go to the Split View tab and you should see both your PSP and your movies. Highlight the movie you want and either click move to Device or Copy to device. Your PSP should still be in USB mode and you should see that your file is being transfered.

The only drawback I can see doing this way is that Windows may not assign the same drive letter everytime you connect your PSP to your PC. One example is if you have a flash drive in your system or your bought a new hard drive and installed it and it so happens to end up being the same drive letter. You would have to go back to PSP Video 9 and change the drive letter.
