I put the address into the wii, and nothing happens. Someone help or explain to me what to do to make it run.

what are you using to connect to your computer through the wii.
also make sure you put the port in.

a port is the number at the end of the ip address
Eg mine is
192.168.0.100:8192
8192 is the port number and everyone uses the same while the 192.169.0.100 bit changes depending on your network

it is always 8192 but i have the same problem too :( if i type the address my wii doesn't do anything at all :s

Be sure to have Wii Media Center X running on your computer. DO NOT close down the box that says "Wii Media Center is Active".

I have the Wii Media Center up, it is running, I put in the address exactly as it appears in my browser when I launch the Media Center on my PC, and nothing happens on the wii. It doesn't even show it attempting to connect to the IP address.

I am having the same problem. Whenever I try to go to the IP on my Wii it does nothing. I have disabled my firewall, same problem. And whenever I try to forward the port to my IP on the router the media center stops working >.< Any advice would be great.
EDIT: I figured out how to make it work - make sure that you put http://192.x.x.x:8192 - it won't work (for me at least) without the http://
