Since the iPhone is coming out some time this month, we figured we’d get a head start and release the Videora iPhone Converter early. Although there isn’t a whole lot of information to go on (like tech specs or when its actually coming out), we do know that it has a screen resolution of 320x480 (or 480x320 in landscape orientation) and was termed as a “Widescreen iPod” at its first unveiling. This most likely means it will at least have the video capabilities of the 5G iPod, which can be found here (http://www.apple.com/ipod/specs.html), if not better.

If you’ve been encoding all your iPod videos at VGA (640x480) resolution then you should be all set as the iPhone will undoubtedly have great downscaler to match the video size to the actual native resolution of the iPhone. On the other hand, if you’ve been recording your videos at the QVGA (320x240) iPod resolution, you may want to start encoding your videos either to 480x320 or 640x480 using our iPhone video converter (http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPhone/) for maximum video quality and to prevent unwanted upscaling on the iPhone.
