ok so i already converted an avi to mp4 using videoera ipod converter using the wizard. The audio is behind and out of sync im kinda confused with the sticky, but the original avi i converted of this movie did not have the sync problems. The converted video just had the sync problems. How would i fix this audio problem what program can i use that would be the most simple.

the movie i converted was 300 which was an avi, to an mp4 and the mp4 audio is behind

You can try AVS Maker (below), but it may not convert any better - he never got it to work correctly. The problem is the way the source video is encoded.
