Does not convert all the way...

For some reason, Videora just does not want to convert my video all the way, South Park - The Movie. Its in AVI/DivX format, i've convert lots of other ones in the same format, it just stops at 5% for no reason. Although I could reinstall it, why would it do this? I haven't tried other videos yet...

You could have a corrupt file.

The video itself plays all the way.

Some players are more forgiving of corrupt files than video encoders can be.

Here's my bottom line. If I already know I can convert other files in the same format successfully... I don't waste time banging my head against a wall when I find one that doesn't convert. I blame the file and move on with my life.

I used WinAVI and it converted it all the way, the a/v was off by a lot.
WMP plays the file all the way through without no skips or anything.
