PAL Framerate issue

I have a few HD videos (720p) that have an original framerate of 25 fps. I convert them to AppleTV 23.976 framerate, and they play, but every second there is a noticeable 1 frame skip, which gets annoying quickly. Does AppleTVConverter have a setting to interpolate the frames instead of lopping one off so that there is no skip?

In my experience, 25fps works fine at 1280x720. Alternatively, drop the resolution down to 960x540, which is the resolution used by iTunes to convert 720p videos which are 30fps for use with the Apple TV.
