Renaming from M4V10001.MP4 to anthing else .MP4 & won't play/recognise

Hey,

I've converted alot of files now (been using PSPV9 since Dec '05).

I wanted to change the file names to something else other than the default 10001.MP4,10002.MP4,10003.MP4 etc. However when I rename something, it doesn't show up in the PSP (with the correct file extension).

Its annoying as trying to figure out which movie is which with 10001.MP4 isn't that easy!

Any help would be great!

If you update your PSP's Firmware to 3.30 and above, you can use the VIDEO directory. This directory allows you to put any name for your video, as long as it has an mp4 extension.

I was wondering also does the lastest version of PSP Video 9, create file name like 10001.MP4 or does it just use the file name like - SuperTroopers.MP4

EDIT: As it turns out I have the latest version and it converts to 10001.MP4 type. - Just to say ye the time of looking ;)

I tried their Legacy settings once or twice but I cannot get it to create the old style names so for now I'm gonna say either no or I just don't know how to use it.

Edit: doh, just read your edit, i'll have to eventually play with it some more then.
