As the strangely worded topic says, I have a bunch of xvid videos that I want to convert to an xbox readable format. How would I go about converting them with videora without losing quality or greatly increasing filesize (I guess I need that perfet middle point).

They aren't hd or anything, just some music videos that I downloaded. Some of them are in widescreen format, but not usually greater than the resolution of a full tv image.

Yup I hear you there Neel.

I took a 700MB AVI and converted it using the highest settings, except for Enhanced Quality (didn't choose that) and it turned it into a 4GB MP4 file and the quality was no better than the original (which is to be expected) but when streaming the file, it paused, sound was off and at times there was no sound altogether. The pausing or jittering would be crazy for about 5 mins then the flick would be smooth for 10 - 15 mins then jitter again.

I'm a little confused as to why this program is inflating the compressed AVI to over 4x the original size. I realize that the AVI is a compressed file but 4x? Wow.

Anyhow, thought I'd toss my 2 cents in.

Goog luck,

C
