I've tried converting a DIVX file to MJPEG, but it comes out looking HORRIBLE. I know Wii only supports resolutions up to 848x480 but it looks so bad when it's done that it's not worth watching. I've tried maxing out the settings; resolution, framerate, but to no avail. Since this is new software, can someone please help? I know this board will be flooded in the coming week, so the sooner, the better for more people to enjoy the playback feature.

I used the standard settings, and noticed some grain, but nothing that wasn't watchable. Then again, the source video might not be very good either.

Converting one cointainer format into another format is asking for trouble.

Filter are going to go whack!!

try converting from a straight MPEG2 or DVD.

I would recommend leaving the resolution native to the file, the less conversion you do to the file the better off you're going to be, let the hardware do the majority of the work. This just uses FFDSHOW so the picture quality can be very good.

To improve picture quality, you need to use a higher video bitrate.
This of course will create larger filesizes.
