Ok, i use Mac OS X. I downloaded the archive, i opened it, read the readme file. I put everything inside my USERS folder which is named "DanielR" in my case. Went to the terminal window, and i type what the readme says and this is what happens.
Wii/PS3/Red Kawa Media Center X 0.92
Media Center User Guide URL: http://www.redkawa.com/mediacenters/tutorials/
Red Kawa URL: http://www.redkawa.com
Your IP: <Here goes my IP Address>
Media Center Web Address: http://<here goes my IP Address>

4326 [main] WARN org.mortbay.log - failed SocketConnector @ <Here goes my IP Address>:8192
4327 [main] WARN org.mortbay.log - failed Server@a51027
So basically i just need someone to tell me what exactly am i doing wrong or what i am missing or what i have to do to make it work. Thanks in advance!
P.S. I use a router to connect my computer to the internet, same goes to connect the Wii to the internet.

Dakun, have the same problem of you.
Normally on MacOSX, the web shared folder is /Users/home_folder/Sites/
I put all RedKawa elements in this folder, and it's doesn't works too

Well Monsieur, somehow i managed to get to the Media Center with my Mac and with my Wii. The only problem is, though, that i can't play music files. They play on my computer but not on my Wii. I guess it's cause of the Opera Browser. Videos don't even show up in my Media Center.
If you haven't been able to run it, just try to put the IP address on your web browser. In fact, if you get the same error i get (or the message whatever), just copy paste the area where it says "Media Center Web Address", or something along those lines. Right after that, the address will show up. Just copy and paste it on your web broswer and it should appear.

okay, if you are willing, start over completely and try this:
1) Unzip the file and leave the mediacenterx_jar file on your desktop, with everything still in it
2) go into the terminal and type in: (be sure to leave a space after cd)
cd /Users/username/desktop/mediacenterx_jar
3) now that you have changed the directory (cd), you can do that infamous java command:
java -jar mediacenter.jar
this was the only way to get it to work on my iBook.
my name is artist25 and I'm a mac user and the world doesn't give me any love...:(
Edit: though maybe you do need the latest java update...
