I know compared to PS3 and Xbox 360 the Wii's capabilites are limited, but it's the first console I will own that has playback functionality. I even bought my first SD card specifically for the Wii launch. Besides playing video files directly on TV, as opposed to wasting DVDs & CDs for transfers, the MP3 playback in-game is a cool feature (ala ExciteTruck) that I hope is utilized more often, like on Xbox. As far as pictures go, it's kind of a family thing, I don't even own a digital camera (unless a webcam counts). Let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, totally agree with you, except do you know how to play your music (mp3) files using the media center? Any help is appreciated:D

the Wii will only play CBR mp3's. All my VBR ones don't work. :(

Constant Bitrate and Variable Bitrate. Unfortunatly I gave up on the WII to play any multimedia and videos for it. The required formats just suck, especially for the video. Mjpeg? you're kidding right? a 30min video ended up being 1/2 a gig....I'll just stick to playing games on it. :p
