What settings can I use that will work with Wii?

I see that there are profiles associated with PS3 and Wii.

I also see that you can build custom profiles below the preset selection menu.

I was shocked to see a 350 meg 40 minute AVI convert to movie larger than 1 gb. My question is, can I specify lower bitrates or lower other settings to achive a more reasonable size? I don't have a 1gb SD card to work with.

As we mentioned in our blog post, the video format the Wii uses, MJPEG, is not very good at video compression. So the large sizes you see should not be a shock. Of course you can create your own profiles with higher or lower bitrates to reduce/increase size. Just remember, the lower the bitrate the lower the quality.
