i just got the program and i installed it and i see 2 drives,c and d, is d the ps3? and if d drive is the ps3 how come it says i am not permited to see these files. btw, could i be looking at other files from a different computer on my router?

c and d are the drives on your pc running the media center. d happens to probably be your cd/dvd drive which is why you can't see any files.
then how do i see my ps3. btw, is the file server the same thing as the media center

On the internet browser on your ps3, you type in the address "http://192.168.1.102:8192" and You'll be able to copy files across from your pc to you ps3. I think thats right atleast. I can't seem to open port 8192 on my router :mad:

Well, he needs to put his enabled IP and :8192.
Alright, open PS3 Media Center X in your browser. Press Software. Press My Files. Press Edit Settings. Copy and paste the directory which you will be putting your music/video/pics in(each should have their own separate folder). Now go to your PS3, enter you IP and :8192, let it load the page. Press "Select" button and choose to bookmark this page. Now, press My Files. Browse throught to the folders for your video/music/pics and click a file. Press "Start" button when it says to, and you will commence download.
