I threw it on an IIS server, made a simple html file to embed it in, created a playlist and made a virtual directory to my MP3's... It will play them, but I fear the wii is crippled with some sort of memory buffer of some sort. It load slow and it's sporadic at best. I ruled out networking, so it has to be the wii...

Keep looking! A good, flash based mp3 player would rock!

I already run Slimserver on a linux box in my basement which provides an html interface, just no web player! It DOES do transcoding on the fly though, which is really nice... I rip in FLAC and playback usually at 128kbs MP3. Sure wish someone would release a free aac+ encoder...
