I've been trying to convert a file which is .wmv and I have watched all of it in Windows Media Player so it does work.
Each time I try to convert this video after about 6 seconds the error appears saying it failed to add to library problem. This problem doesnt occur when i convert a differant video.
This is actually the second part of a film and the first part converted perfectly.
Here is the log:

Try a profile that says 'AVISynth' in it.
Turn off autoresize, and set to 320x176.

It's still being resized to 320x180 for whatever reason instead of the 320x176 that Sketch suggested. Also... both your source file and your attempted conversion file are being stored in Documents and Settings... sometimes not a good thing.

and im not sure on how to change where the conversion file and source file is stored

That's the path I'm still seeing from your most recent log for your source file. At this point, I'd try moving on and seeing if some other video source works. Try ripping a DVD or something. WMV can, in some formats, be problematic.
