I am making another thread because I believe no one is reading the one I replied to. Anyways the problem right now that I am experiencing is that when I finish downloading the new version of Ipod Converter and I open up the file to install it, click next then agree then next again. Right when it starts installing some kind of error pops up, a box, saying that "Download failed: resolving hostname" because of this I can't seem to install it. I've tried deleting the files and redownloading them and then installing, but its failed about 40 times now. Can anyone please help with this issue? I really love Ipod Converter and I've used the old versions but I don't understand why I can't seem to install this one. :(

It's probably trying to download .NET components from the Microsoft Windows Update site. Try installing them manually from Windows Update.

How many .NET components are there? I am seeing only one which is called .NET Framework.

Depending on which OS you run there are .NET 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 frameworks and each of them sits on top of the other and all of them have various updates after they are installed. It can easily take 3 or more trips to the update site to completely install and update them all.
