View Full Version : converting "chapters" for viewing on iPod...

I have used DVD decrypter and Videora for a couple of movies and loaded them (successfully) onto my iPod (80G). However, I don't get any options for moving forwards or backwards through the movie (if I use the "forwards" or "backwards" controls on the iPod, it takes me out of the movie), and I was wondering of there is any way to convert a video and retain the chapter markers, so that when I stop a video, I can restart later and go to the chapter where I left off (right now, it makes me start each movie from the beginning again, and that is a real pain...) I'm not sure if this is an option in the decrypter or in videora, or not at all... Please help / Thanks.

Push the select button... then jog where you want in the movie.

The only way you could simulate this is to split the DVD rip by chapters (CELL_ID), convert each chapter individually and make a playlist. Unforunately, this will give you a few seconds of pausing between each file, so it's not recommended for movies.

Otherwise, your only option is Midiman's suggestion, but that's more fast forward/rewind.

Thanks! Much appreciated!
