I have converted some Videos using the converter, and they are shared on my computer;
but I cannot seem to get them to play on my 360; It plays music, pictures and WMV movies, but not the mpeg2 movies, is there any Idea of what I can do to fix this?

What program are you guys using to connect to the 360?
I was using Windows media connect and had the same problem, if your not already using Zune from Zune.net then try it out, solved my problem.
Also, in order to play MP4 on the 360 you need to download the update, which appears the first time you run a MP4 video.

I used the zune software, so i dont think thats a problem.
whatever i encode, i play them on my xbox360 and it comes up as a black screen and my console stops responding. will play in media center classic
so i personally think its something either with the mp4 container being used in videora or the xbox 360 being a bum about my mp4s.

I am using Windows Media Center; when I attempt to play the Mpeg2's on my Xbox 360, there is an error message to tune of, "Video Error Files needed to display videos are not installed or are not wroking correctly. Please restart windows media center or restart the computer."
I have restarted and retried this many times, to no avail. It does, however successfully play WMV movies....
I think thatI have downloaded the latest updates on the Xbox 360 end and computer end too....

If you're going to use Videora 360 converter you need the zune software to play the vids on your 360, however from my experience the h.264 720p profile doesn't create a compatible video and won't show under videos. The 480p one is fine however.
If you're going to use Media Centre to play the vids then you need to add transcode360 (the old version if you have windows xp - new version is vista only last time I checked) to your media centre and then via the xbox highlight the video press the X button, select more and then choose the transcode option.
As with all things google is your answer.
Good luck.
