The skin folders
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\core\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Files\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Music\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Pictures\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\skins

you then have to copy the new "Mario" folder to each location. currently there is no portal for skins but i may set one up on my site (watch this space...ish...thingie)
skins are not a huge priority atm as the program needs fixing first.

In the musc section there is a file outside of the skins area called bgMp3 replace this with the one supplied in the "music-skins" folder

i just downloaded your skin to try and find a solution to a problem i am having with my skin. However it seems as though your skin doesnt help me. My problem is ill create or download skins and everything, but for somereason the software pages like music, files, video, and pics stay default.

So how did you get the skin to apply to everything instead of just the main index and setting pages, is there a line of code i need to change somwhere?

I have just found this it appears that to use skins YOU HAVE TO USE THE NAME Default it does not work otherwise. the devs need to fix this its strange it takes 1/2 the images from the deafult theme 1/2 from the custom theme.

back uo the original default theme though

Yes Mrmatch. I was also look for to fix that, but I can't. Yes it's a bug. I hope in the next release the fix that.

are you one of the dev then? if so cant you move the bigmp3 file into the skins folder...
if u aint a dev then Woot fellow skinners! my new 1 is coming will animated buttons and all

Mrmatch I have find the problem. Look you don't need to EDIT the Default Skin. What you must do is to edit all the index.jsp files from the folders:
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Files\
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Music\
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Pictures\
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\

Open the index.jsp from each folder and change this line: skin = "Default"; <--replace Default to your skin folder name

I hope you understand what I mean, I have change it and it works :)

No I'm not one of the dev. But I make skins for Wii Media Centers. And help some other people that need some help :)

HAHA hopefully the devs will look at that and fix it in the next ver! so i can continue to be lazy and not have to fiddle with the .jsp files... (which i am doing in my current skin anyways)

Hey guys, cool skins. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for pointing out the “default name” bug. We will work on getting that fixed for the next release. BTW, the developers are still alive. We are just a bit slow getting back at it after the Christmas / New Year festivities :)

I'm happy to hear that :). I'm currently working on my skins. I was thinking about my release from my skin Wii Color. But now I hear that you guys are working and fix some bugs. I was thinking to release my skin for the next release from Wii Media Center X. Because it's easy to install my skins. You only got to put my skin folders in the directory they should be on it from each directory:

C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\core\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Files\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Music\skins
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Pictures\skins

hehe mine might still be a bit complecated to install as i fiddelede with 1/2 ofg the .jsp files :)
