I used the wii video 9 converter to convert my .avi file (which wouldn't play on my Wii before) using the defauly settings, moved it onto my SD card and put it into my Wii. But it still says it can't play it.
Help please?

was the avi a full length movie or what? I have noticed that my tv episodes convert and play just fine, but when I convert a movie, the wii doesn't recognize it. Not that it matters because having a 1.86gb mjpeg file that has horrible quality isn't very appealing to me. Everything will be great once the video streaming with wii media center is working perfectly. No more sd cards, and the flv format is a MUCH MUCH highy quality than mjpeg. All we can do is wait ;_;

says it can't play (never seen that) or it just plays sound? Every video I've converted with Red Kawa never said it couldn't play (if it showed up it did).

The default profile is wrong too, check here: http://www.redkawa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261

Well, I also had this problem but I found a solution
U need quicktime pro (buy it or get an illigal serial:o (I did bought it actually:D ))
First u convert the video with redkawa then load it into quicktime (some videos can't be opened by quicktime but from red kawa it can always)
when u loaded the vid in quicktime press file>export
U get a new screen, just do the normal stuff when u want to save something in windows but also use these things:
Export: movie to quicktime movie

Press options, u c another new screen
In the video part press settings choose for compressiontype "Motion JPEG B" or "Motion JPEG A" I normally choose for B cos I expirienced that the wii didn't play sound with A
U can also do some other stuff for making the video small by example
Press OK and go back to the options screen

Now press settings in the sound part of the screen choose for "PCM" or something similar as compression, press OK again

You can leave the internetstreaming option off but when u get cracky sound or images you should select the option and use it in quickstart mode, press OK and go back to the save screen and then:
SAVE IT:D and put it on ur SD card
