View Full Version : Videora 3.01 randomly locks up my computer

I ripped a personal DVD using dvd_decrypter to download to my iPod, and Videora keeps locking up when I try to convert the vob. When I say locks up, I mean shut the power off and reboot. Sometimes it happens pretty quickly (18MB mp4 file), and sometimes it nearly finishes (550MB file). I was able to successfully convert the vob to an mpg (mpeg-1) file using a different tool.

I noticed in the log that there are a lot of overflow and underflow messages -- is this normal?

My system:
Windows 2000
Athlon XP-1800
AMD761/VIA 686B chipset
512MB memory

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the log that I captured before my system locked up a while later...

You seem to have two audio stream in the rip:

Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 720x480, 9800 kb/s, 59.94 fps(r)
Stream #0.1[0x80]: Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, 5:1, 448 kb/s

Okay, you got me on that one... :D

Here is a convert of a different DVD rip (different movie, and I left out the extra garbage), and my computer still locked up.

Have you tried converting any videos that aren't DVD rips?

No, I haven't. I tried several different DVD rips, and they all failed.

I think it's the computer though -- I was able to get it to work on my computer at work (shh, don't tell my boss ;) ).

Thanks for all of the help,
Bryan
