I am using videora for the first time. The first few conversions that I have done do not seem to work. They import into iTunes after converted, but they don't play properly. I get sound but no picture at all - just fuzzy lines.

Here is the conversion info. Thanks in advance

previous answer rethought... get your resolution up to a 640 width... if you really want it twice (okay... 4 times) as big as it needs to be... and you might, very well, want to do that for one particular reason... I leave it to you to decide what that reason might be. I, myself, have owned an external video cable for two years... but have never seen fit to use it.

Thta's likely because I own a larger DVD library than most libraries. If I want to play something externally... I use another medium.

Oh, gosh... I've been sarcastic again. I keep working on it.

OK -- so prior to converting, iTunes would not even pull import it. After conversion, it imports, but as previously mentioned, does not play it properly.

However, if I import the converted file into a different program that I use to play media (J River Media Center), it plays the converted file with no problem at all.

What am I missing? Is it simply the width that's problem? (I have to admit that I really did not understand your response -- I don't know much about video.)

iTunes and Quicktime are very picky when it comes to video.
All your settings look ok so it is odd that you are having problems.
You should try converting your video using the "New" video format setting in the VideoWizard. That might help.

Forgive me, but where is this "new" setting?

If you look at this screen shot:
http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/guide/video-to-ipod/screenshots/normal4.gif

You will see the Video Format setting has "Old" or "New" settings.
According to your log you are using the "Old" setting, try the "New" setting.

I made the change to "new" but still doing the same thing. I thought this was easy as loading and selecting the file. Why can't I seem to get this to work for me?

Any other suggestions? Uninstall reinstall? Any particular test file to run?

I just wanted to give everybody an update.

It seems after I convert using Videora, the video files do not play in iTunes, HOWEVER when I sync them to the ipod, they play on the ipod.

Remember, I couldn't play the converted files in iTunes, but I could play them (converted and pre-converted) in other media players. I don't know why they would play on the Ipod but not within iTunes.

Weird?......
