Hi guys,

I've had good luck converting a couple dvds over to the iphone, but I've had problems with a new set of dvds I got. Ripped them the same as I did the others, but now I get a weird error 100503.

The error log follows, and I see what it says, but I'm not sure how the bitrate is any different on this one than the others I did - did I rip it wrong, or is it just a change of setting needed in Videora? (I did check the other encoders and went through the troubleshooter, promise. heh.)

thanks for your help

Just saw in Midiman's sig that he suggests anywhere in documents and settings is bad - I had been storing my ripped movies on my desktop. Moved them to C:\Temp\raw movies with the same result/error code..

Your video isn't being resized to proper specs. It's the same as the input source.

Howdy Midiman,

Weird. I went back and redid it making sure that I was selecting the H.264 480x320 768kbps Stereo/128kbps profile. Same error. So I went to settings and edited that profile and under the "Video" tab it says: Max Resolution 480x320

Am I looking in the wrong place to find out why the 'automatically resizing resolution' is setting it so large?

thanks,

-bcm

I just saw there's a new subrelease available. Downloaded that and tried again. Same error code, but now it looks like it is changing the resolution! So that's good.

Here's the console log (showing the shiny new reso settings)

thanks,

It's still being resized oddly: 426x320... and, according to the log, the output video format is xvid... which is REAL odd. I've seen it happen a few times before and don't know what causes it.

Cool, thanks for trying, Midi. Hopefully redkawa or someone might know what's up with this thing - I just bought 4 seasons of this show and I'd hate it if I wasn't able to take it with me.

Also, just noticed that there's an iPhone-specific forum - noob mistake putting it in here, my bad..
