I am having the same problem as Ellmeister did. The conversion of the movie never finishes. I let it go and it was up to 760 megabytes and 2700s on a 1264s movie. Does anyone know what I could do so the conversion stops when it should?

I'm using the iPofTouch_1G profile for the conversion.

How long did it take?

I think it went for about an hour and a half. But according to someone else, even if it was at 100% and the second counter kept incrementing and was still smaller than the total seconds for the movie, you would be ok and just let it continue. But my seconds converting was way over the movie seconds. And the file size was huge in comparison to the estimate.

I converted the file to a very short file name, two words with one space. Only one period in the filename. And the directory was in c:\temp\ripped dvds. So it was not a directory way deep in the file system.

So any help to get this working would be appreciated.

90 minutes isn't a a long time.

90 minutes isn't a a long time.

Is it a bug then that the total seconds is far greater than the seconds count that the movie is supposed to be?

Is 700 megabytes ok when the application said it should be around 183?

Sounds buggy to me.

First off, you never posted a log... so I can't really answer anything with any degree of specificity. I'm going to GUESS... that you used a 2-pass profile... HMM...

And I don't see a less than 3% discrepency in estimated file size to be that big of a deal.

I had the same problem. It is just the coverter inacuratley estimating the length of the video. I was converting Star Wars Episode 3. It said it was at 100%, total lenth was like 4300s. but it just kept converting. I looked on internet movie database and found the actual length of Episode 3 is 8400s. So I waited untill it that the length of converted got to 8400s, sure enough it completed and worked fine. So you need to know what the actual length of the movie is not just what the converter says it is.

I think I am having the same problem. I tried to convert a DVD of a tv show. It worked, but only for the first episode. There are 4 episodes per disk. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm guessing that the conversion is not at 100% even though it says it is. Sorry I did not post a log (I'm at work).

Not sure what more I can add to this.
