Hey, I've been having some trouble figuring out where to put the video on the card (root, DCIM folder, ect.). Cause when I formated the SD card in the camer and just put the file in the root, the wii couldnt read the card at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should format the card in FAT or FAT32... sometimes electronics won't work with FAT32 so I would recommend FAT.
There isn't really a diffrence, only that you will use more space when u put a lot of files on a FAT formatted card than on a FAT32 formatted card, but u can't notice it really much.
