start up problems

I've just installed the app for the 1st time (onto 32bit vista ult) and can't it to launch - it bombs with the following exception:

I've reinstalled it and it still fails. If there some other stuff I need installed to get it to work?

If anyone from Red Kawa can be bothered to answer this, it'd be appreciated.

What's the point in hosting forums if no one can be arsed to help? This software and company are clearly a waste of time.

I'd be quite happy paying for the software but it doesn't work. It' wont; load. This is basic stuff guys and it's thoroughly disappointing that you don't give potential customers the tiem of day.

Had the same problem and (sorta) on Vista x64 and solved it. Just thought I'd let you know in case it helps you out. I did an install over version 2.something (2.5 maybe?) and got that crash. I uninstalled 3.05 which uninstalled everything, then reinstalled 3.05. That crash went away. Unfortunately, as soon as I get everything set up and click to convert, I get another similar cras, BUT, if I say "debug" to debug the crash, the conversion continues and finishes. I'm not sure if I have this option because I have Visual Studio 2005 installed, or if it's always available, but it got me around that crash for now.
