why wont it play

Some converted files just stop playing and i get the message "This video cannot be played" . This is very frustrating because it seems to be completely random. Why cant it be played. If i got a reason i might be able to fix it.:confused:

Unfortunately, it is somewhat random, sorta. I had a case like this a while back but it always happened at a specific area. I haven't come back to check on this issues as it only happened to one or two videos of the many videos I've done so far. I don't have anything to point at at the moment.

im using the video folder, and so far all video's that were wide screen encoded worked normally. most of the videos encoded in 4:3 displayed the error.
One video i previously encoded with 4:3 (the original is wide screen) started working when i changed the setting to wide.
However it seems, that if the original is in 4:3, even the wide setting in video 9 will not "enable" it.

Also as mentioned over in the other forum, it may have something to do with sound, as i was able to play a video in fast forward without problems, that would show "this video cannot be played" when playback was normal and sound enabled.

The last theory is memory stick compatibility ... i'm using a 4GB original Sony memory stick pro duo ...
