When will I be able to copy/listen to MP3's? [Archive]

The product information makes it sound like you can aleady do this:

"PS3 Media Center X lets you playback MP3s on your PS3 without the need of any copying or downloading."

Does it not work? Considering this is a major feature that Red Kawa claims to be part of the software, it would surprise me if you couldn't do this already.

NOTE - this is probably painfully obvious, but I haven't installed/used this yet.

Question - the wording of the description mentions "playback" but does not specifically say that you can transfer MP3s and JPEGs from your computer to your PS3. So, can you?

I had to set it up through the files section of the setup. I have to copy the MP3 to the PS3 before playback.

Go into the settings of the "Files" portion and add the directories you want and it should let you copy from them.

wait so then it doesn't stream but allows you to download to your ps3? I am looking for streaming.

I haven't been able to stream music either, just copy and play from PS3 HD. I agree, the product information is misleading as far as indicating you can playback without copy or downloading.
