Hi, I am trying to convert 1 hour long Divx files to my PS3 and have been running into Audio sync problems!!!!!!!!! Any help would be wonderful!
I am trying to convert it to an MP4 AAC and I am using the "-async 1" in the custom flags part of my profile. I am also sampling the Audio in AAC at a 256 bit rate. I am also keeping the frame rate (25fps) the same as the source but no luck!
The audio starts fine, but half way through you can tell there are problems! and by the end its atleast a second out of place. Its not the source file because that plays fine and I have other episodes that all do the same thing when converted!
Do I need to change the sample rate or change the audio codec to mp3?
Thanks!

I have no Idea where I would find what versions of the codes i have so I am just gonna go install the newest thing I can find... and try it again. Thanks\
UPDATE: ok, So I am downloading the Divx 6.4 codec as I write this, and Just installed an AC3 filter which includes the most uptodate AC3 codec. I am gonna try again as soon as Im done... You guys think that will help?

Dude first of all not everyone knows what is going on here without being in front of your computer. I had only one idea and it didnt work so I cant think of anything else. It could be anything from your windows being screwed up to having a slow ass hard drive. The other thing is if you are using your computer while converting then the video or audio can somtimes hang being the other and continue to hang all the way through the video at the point it starts. Red kawa cannot recover from this. I had many problems with converting DIVX files. With the settings I posted I was able to get it to work fine. Your settings could be different for your computer.
Your best bet is to convert at Super low quality so the conversion will take maybe 10 minutes. Then listen for the sync problem, if there is still a sync problem I am willing to bet that its the source of the file.
BTW, as far as I know you dont need any special codecs installed to convert a file. Only to play the source and the output. In fact I dont even have an mp4 video player on my computer because I hate Apple and cant find a good free mp4 video player.
