Hello, I've been using the ipod converter for some time now. Most of the time it works great but I've come across an issue. What I'm trying to do is get DVD movies into mp4 format so I can watch them on my Zune. Zune uses mp4 and it does work. However I've encountered a few different issues, namely, for some reason when the file is optimized for zune, it seems to not understand what to do when the video is absolute blackness so instead of playing black (at the very, very beggining of a video and sometimes during fade outs or transitions) it plays a flickering green pattern which is rather annoying. I'm trying to fix this problem and a few other things by editing the mp4 file in a little known but fairly effective program called Video Explosion Deluxe 1.5. I think I have the problems fixed by doing that but now I have a new problem. Video Explosion Deluxe 1.5 can't export to mp4, so I need to convert it again. I export it into avi and then try to convert it to mp4 with Videora but it dosn't work. Videora just says starting conversion, and then says conversion in progress for a bout a second, and then conversion complete, but just leaves a blank mp4 file with no data. I also tried using Quick Time Pro to do it but the video dosn't display there either. This might seem like the file itself is bad but it does work fine in Windows Media Player so it must have all the right data. The avi file I'm trying to convert is about 7 GBs. I'd really appreciate some advice on how to fix this. Thanks!
