spring update installation

i just downloaded the spring update from the Xbox site and wanted to install it in my 360 but the 360 isnt reading the disc at all first i tried it in CD-R and now in DVD-R both the disc are not rading can you tell me how to install it because i can't go on Xbox live because mine is a modded 360.so can u help me because whenever i insert the disc it shows mixed media disc one's i burnt it with nero and one with Xp's own burner please help me and can you also tell me if i create a silver membership account and download the update will my console be banned for modding.hey is there a possibility that i have the spring update already installed in my 360 how can i knwo that my dashboard version is 2.0.5766.0 i think but if the update is already installed why cant i play the h.264 format movies and can you tell if i go in Xbox live and download the update in how much time will Xbox ban me are there more chances to get ban because i live in India and does ban mean that i will not be able to play any game on my console again at it is just a waste.Please reply

if you already have a video encoded in the h.264 codec try this....

rename the file extension .wmv

for example.....

"myFile.wmv"

this is how i get my converted videos to play through Media and/or Windows Media Extender.....

as for your other questions.......

if you haven't installed the update.....i'm pretty sure you don't have it

and as far as the XB Live question........are you willing to risk it?
