Just wondering....

I use a 1GB SD card. All I want to do, is convert episodes of diggnation, so I can watch them on my wii.

But no matter what file type and size I start with, I always end up with an extremely HUGE filesize.
For example, a 320MB .avi file, converts out to a file that is 1.5GB in size! Jeez, why so large?

Does anyone think this will ever be fixed? As great of an idea as this program is, I see no point in trying, if I always end up with a 1+GB file, that looks bad anyway.

I dont want to make anyone mad, so sorry if I offend anyone. I am just curious. If they could ever promise to improve on this, I would be happy to donate to the cause.;)

Video on the Wii just don't compress very well. So a highly compressed video of 300MB will lead to huge files of + 1GB.

I'm not using this progam myself, but you could try lowering some settings, to see if it helps.

Otherwise, you will need to stream the media to your Wii, using one of the many media centers currently available.

It doesn't matter how bad it is at playing compressed video..
10 seconds at BAD quality should NEVER be 25MB!!

Unless that's fixed somehow, this program is basically... Worthless!

same here. From my own thread asking the same?

Is there a way to make the files size smaller for the converted files. I convert files and the orignal is 59.8 MB and converts to a size of 351MB. I would like to make it smaller so I can store alot of movies onto a 2 gig sdcard.

THe quality of my videos are prefect. I convert a avi file of Transformers The Movie. The only problem it's bigger then my current SD Card. My other videos show up just fine.

Ummm... decrease the framerate! It's Motion JPEG, which is just a bunch of JPEGs played in sequence...
