Well here's my problem. H.264 movies both work from dvd and stream from my computer just fine. I did not do the encoding for the current HD videos I have, but I asked the person who did what he used. Well Videora with the "H.264 720p 3072kbps Stereo/160kbps" Preset was his answer. So I got videora setup and tried to convert a video (details below) with the same settings with little success. The video does play fine on my computer but will not play on the xbox (may not be supported error). Not sure why seeing as how it seems to have converted it just fine. The other odd thing is I tried using TVersity with transcode as well as playing it from a DVD (usually I use wmp with no transcoding unless I have to use Tversity). It wont even work with transcoding (I've never encountered a video I couldn't play transcoding with tversity). but like I said it does work fine on the computer. Also the source video does actually stream fine with transcoding except for the fact that it constantly rebuffers b/c of it being way too high of a quality to transcode&stream properly.

As I said I used the "H.264 720p 3072kbps Stereo/160kbps" Preset
Anyway here's the Source video details (if it matters)

Video "XviD ISO MPEG-4"
Length: 3:28:19 Kbps: 3641
Resolution: 1920 x 800 / 1080p
Audio "(Dolby AC3) AC3 / 48000Hz 448 kb/s tot , 6 chnls (3/2 .1) "

Is there a reason this video can't be converted or.....?
I'm at a loss since literally everything thing else I've ever had either plays or transcodes fine...except my conversions..

Also wanted to add (even though it doesnt matter much) the video wizard didnt work at all. nothing happens when i complete it.
but after going into the advanced options id rather not use it anyway

just sayin...

Are the resulting files over 4 gigs? If so, I have found that they won't stream. You can copy files larger than 4 gig to a usb drive or onto a dual layer dvd. That works. But if you really want to stream, keep the max size to 3.9 gigs.
