I agree, I'd like to know too. Funny there is no mention of the que in the tutorials. I've hit all kinds of buttons trying to find the right combination but have yet to see even one file in the que. If someone really knows I too would like to see details on doing it.

I finally figured out how to batch mutiple files. You have to add the files individually to the que. The process (as I have found it to be) is:
Step #1: Click the CONVERT VIDEO button.
Step #2: Select a single video file to convert.
Step #3: Select the Profile Setting.
Step #4: Click the START button.
Step #5: Repeat Step #1 - Step #4 for each additional file you want to add to the queue.
As each file is added to the queue it will show in the conversion queue list at which point you can adjust the order the files are converted.
Just that simple and intuitive :)

This is pretty cool, but probably should be mentioned in the FAQ/user guide.
I wanted to encode all my mpeg rips of my ATHF dvd's into PS3 video and let them sit on my PS3 (because I use about 200mb of the 60GB available) so I can watch them when I want and not need to do anything special. I'll be encoding quite a lot of video footage with this utility.
Thanks guys!

does anybody know of a way to let ps3 video 9 automatically search a specified folder every ten minutes or so for files to convert. I do all of my torrents while i am asleep and at work and Id like to be able to have those files automatically converted as soon as they finish. I download a lot of TV and would like to have it converted to ps3 format by the time i get home. Any suggestions?

O_o; i thought it was kinda self explanatory but then, everyone is different right? Just to let you know, I've queued 300+ movies with this program. Took about a week or more to get them done.
As for having it check and auto convert, you can do it... not with this program. You'll need to learn how to do scripting with windows to pull it off which is a totally different story. IMO, suck it up and do it manually... cause I did! :D

after posting i found the setting for auto que and initially thought i had just been dense. However I read your response and wanted to clarify. Are you saying that there is no way to allow ps3 video 9 or any other video conversion program automatically convert my tv files as i finish downloading them. I use a program called ted that is constantly picking up new torrents and downloading them to a folder. I was under the impression that videora and itvcasting allowed you to automatically convert these files. I think i am just having problems getting the automatic queing to work. I would suck it up and convert them by hand if i just had a huge library but i have a library i am constantly adding to and wish to complete automate the process. Surely i cant be the only person wanting to do so. Has anybody been able to accomplish this via auto queing a specific folder? If not what is the automatic queing for?

Here's the lowdown on how to get it to work. You need Videora with it if you haven't guessed already. :)
http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/itvcast.html
I don't use it because (iirc) I have to use the videora bittorrent there for it to automatically go and get converted. I'm using it for stuff I already have on hand and not in queue in bittorrent. Plus I'm using a dev system at work that has 4-16 CPU on it and isn't connected to the net. I'm pretty sure work won't like it if I started eating company bandwidth from bit torrent.
I think that was the reason why I ended up not using it. I can play with it again when I get the chance.

I remember why I didn't use it now. It doesn't always work. It picks up sometimes, other times it doesn't. I can leave videos in there and it won't pick up. Other times when it did pick up, I was in a middle of copying it and it errors out because the file is in use (in the middle of copying). I even tried copying and pasting in and out of the pointed folder and it doesn't pick up just to see if it checks changed "state" in the folder.
It was only when I was in the middle of copying it from source to where I have the program auto checks that it actually picks it up. I have it check every minute, maybe it would be wiser to change it to like every 10 mins or something.
The other reason I didn't like to use it is that it uses the file name as the video name. You can edit the name as you go the long hand way and yes it can be a pain in the arse. Either way, you're gonna change the name one way or another.
Edit: I think it works now... Just set it to 10 mins and I think it should be ok. I just added more videos to the folder so we'll see if it'll pick it up.

thanks for the help. Ive not tried actually using videora i was under the impression it just needed to be installed. However if it will allow me to do what i want to do i will defenitely try to make it work. Two more questions though.
1. Has anybody tried the auto que in conjunction with the ps3 video 9 and
2. Does the trial version allow auto queing or would i have to buy the program to find out

I did installed Videora but i didn't even use it at all. I think PSPVideo9 and PS3Video9 just uses a function of it in the background. I used the trial version.
I just set it to 10 mins (DO NOT SET IT TO 0, it will crash on next load) and added stuff and it automatically picked it up whatever was "changed" on every 10th minute. I even put a directory with movies in it and it picked that up as well. I don't know how much it can and cannot do so expect it to crash if you're doing something unusual to it, whatever that may be.

for some reason i am still having issues getting files to autoque. I click autoque and set the folder to the folder my bitcomet downloads files into and it just sits there and does nothing. I have videora installed and there is no red x. I though i might have been overwhelming ps3vide9 by pointing to a folder with so many different kinds of files so i even told it to look at an empty file and added 2 .avi videos to the file to get it to at least pick up something. I have tried this on 3 different computers with no success. Since you all seem to have it work i think I must be doing something wrong since all 3 computers cant have issues. It seems like a fairly simple process and i have read through the graphic and itvcasting a few times and cant think of anything different to do. Am I missing something?

I have no problems queing files, but the files i have queued don't start to convert when the pfirst file has finished, I've been doing them individually at the moment. Can anyone suggest a solution?

The only time i've notice this is when I'm transcoding the same file with a different name as the output. Like if i wanted to make a 480i video and then make a 720i of the same video which was kind of annoying when I wanted to make a visual compaison of different quality and so forth. Outside of that I did a Queue of 800+ videos using the one click transcode and it did the whole thing w/o stopping. So i don't know what to suggest.

I've been trying to make it work with this program but I've seen so many bugs that I decided to write a small python program to do it.
you just need to modify some paths and timers to customize it to your needs.
this will produce mp4 video for ps3 and also a reducer resolution version for N95.
I hope you like it
