Hey, is there any other way to send large files to the PS3? I tryed the way where you put the files in the "core" folders and it kindof worked. When I clicked on a video to download it, the page would seem to load, than reload without starting the download. Is this a fault of the program or the fault of the connections used?]

Thanks, and if I can't I'll simply use a flash-drive or USB HD.

I thought about it and tryed to use another webserver, since all that PS3 Media Center X is, is a file server thats a little more suited for the PS3. I tried a few, and settled with the Abyss webserver, a http server that has let me transfer music, video, and pictures to the PS3 perfectly. Sometimes I get the "Insert Storage Media At Save Destination" when I try to transfer video files encoded with PS3 Video 9, especially with files that were converted from .avi format. All I has to do was pass it through QuickTime and it allowed me to transfer the video to the PS3. Seems that the PS3 likes QuickTime headers in the file.

Just a heads up for those who need to transfer gigs of data, try the Abyss server. If you need help just PM or reply to this post.

http://www.aprelium.com/downloads/

The free-download one (Version X1), it's not as advanced as X2 but it's enough to only transfer files.
