Any where from a few seconds to over a day, depends on how long the video is and how drastic the changes to resolution, bitrate, etc

Well, about 220MB takes 10 minutes for me.

Im in no way trying to derail this thread but there is no hard time that you can put on conversion. Depends on the size of the source file (and type), the output settings and the computer. My 700 MB source file if in divx will take around an hour and a half. But it varies by about 15 minutes or so.

Took me about 20 min to encode a 700MB Xvid into MPEG4-SP 786kbps.

If this application were multi threaded I probably could have done it a lot quicker, but having my computer fully usable while encoding that fast isn't bad at all in my books.

Hey. Now instead of 10 minutes, it takes me 24-30 minutes! I dont know why, the file size is not even that big.

And before this started happening, my files that were converted became Unsupported Data when put on my PS3. Something's really gone wrong. Anyone know any solutions?

I wouldn't use MPEG4-SP 786kbps (assuming you are) as I already found out that it rendered about 3/4 of my x.264 anime as Unsupported data.

I encode videos to x.264 (an entire anime series) and only a few of them works.

I use MPEG4-AVC 768kbps and they all seem to work, so far.

Anyways, doing my anime from AVI x.264 (150mb to 250mb) to MP4 (less than200mb) takes about 25 mins an episode and thats with two threads running on a dual core system. It's still going as of right now too. Lol converting the entire series of Godannar, Stellvia, Grenadier, and Tenjho Tenge. 90 episodes O_o; Projected 36 hours to do all 90 videos.
