can't download .mpg file can only stream it?

Hi after a lot of mucking around with settings and everything i finally managed to get everything working and am able to browse my computer's files on the ps3 and can actually watch the movie on the ps3 (streaming) but how can i download the file onto the ps3's hard disk drive , is this even possible or am i only able to stream it?

oh and by the way are ps3's even capable of downloading movie files onto the hard-drive cause i was browsing the net on my ps3 earlier and i wanted to download this movie clip but instead of letting me download it it just started playing it/streaming it....

When you have found the file on your server hover over the link (name) press triangle then go to File / Save target, as far as i know you cant download them from the net only files on your PC :P

Hi guys
Just a quick question regarding this, I'm trying to copy a 14GB (MPG) movie to my PS3 (320GB HDD) but after about 3 or 4 minutes it throws an error (80710723)..any ideas?

I assume that once I have navigated to the file and pressed triangle, I go toFile/Save Target then it does the rest, but doesn't show any indication as to how much it has copied etc
