Hi!

I have some h.264 / AVC encoded 720p files which I want to use on my PS3. Only problem is, they use an mkv container. Is there any option with PS3 Video 9 to only chance the header to MP4 without reencoding the video?

Thanx for your help!

This is exactly what PS3 Video 9 needs to be a killer app. I got these beautiful 720p mkv files which beg to be on PS3 without reencoding.

There are numerous threads on the internet about this topic however I still havent found useful information about mkv to PS3....

Ya as far as I know, there isn't really a straight MKV to MP4 conversion but through videohelp.com you can demux your MKV and put them back together into AVI and then from there to MP4. I haven't done this in a very long time (MKV to AVI) so I can't give you the low down on it but one (and i think only one) program you can use if VirtualDubMOD to do it, not the regular VirtualDub.
