Is the MKV Passthrough option not available in v4.x?

Cheers.

Yeah, luckily I still had the old version to go back to.

Is this meant to be a support forum? If so the support is seriously lacking, no one ever posts!

I don't sorry. I installed the new version thinking it would overwrite the old one but luckily it didn't. Sorry.

I've tried adding the MKV Passthru profile to v4.04 and it's still not working.

Doesn't look like v4.x is any good for MKV files, unless you want to spend hours converting the video when there's no need!

Actually, download "mkv2vob", it works with every mkv file I've thrown at it, HDTV rips and BluRay movies. It's a lot faster than anything else also. The only setting you might want to change is the file extension to "mp4".

GOTSent is still good if you want to retain 5.1 audio though, I think mkv2vob always converts audio to stereo, not 100% on that though.

It's a shame Red Kawa removed the functionality and didn't improve on it in PS3 Video 9 v4.x

I originally downloaded this program (PS3 Video 9) so that I could watch a couple mkv files on my PS3, but now that you mentioned mkv2vob, I think that I will use that instead.
Right now I am trying to convert a 4+ gigabyte mkv file which is going to take more than 6 hours from now to be completed. I tried mkv2vob before with no success I remember. I'm going to try that again and hope it works out better than this program does. I did convert a 700 megabyte DivX movie which wasn't working before on my PS3 and the audio didn't sync up with the video so I trashed it. Has anyone else had this problem too?
