Can't get it to work

For some reason after converting files, I am not able to view them on my ps3. They will not play in Window Media Player either. Someone please help.

honestly, i converted mine and now i cant get the converted file to show up on ps3.... i have a prog. that links my ps3 wit my pc not able to see the file.. tried sd cards usb sticks, u name it... it just doesn't show up on ps3... anyone help?

I couldn't get my PS3 to find any files after they'd been converted. I renamed them from .mpeg4 to .divx. My PS3 finds them now but won't play them saying"File corrupted"
Any Ideas?

i converted most of my movies fine and play it well on my ps3. if your problem is that you cant find the file try placing the file in x:\PS3\VIDEO or just place the converted file on a memory stick and press triangle and display all the files in the media drive if then you still cant find the file i dont know whats wrong. hope this info helps :D

I have almost the same problem.

After I convert a videofile in 1080p and any other resolution in MP4 (AVC) the PS3 (80GB 4 USB ports version 2.60) can't play the file it says the file is not compatible, but in Xvid it does play it.

The problem is that some videos can't be converted from MP4 (not AVC) to Xvid, and only can be converted to AVC but as i said the PS3 can´t recognice the video.

And the audio codec that the PS3 video9 use is AAC-LC is this the same as AAC (audio codec in all the video trailers I have downloaded from the PSN)?

And out of the main topic, when i convert an MKV file, the converted video doesn't display the subtitles.
