Version 4.04 with Vista Home Basic, SP1. I'm the only user and I always have Admin status. When I check Control Panel, User Accounts it shows me as Administrator.

When I try to launch the program it tells me "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

When I try to uninstall it, I get the "User Account Control" popup. I click "Continue" but then I get "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall PSP Video 9 4.04. Please contact your system administrator.

I can uninstall all other programs without any problem.

I downloaded from www.pspvideo9.com. I got several warning messages from Spyware Doctor during installation but I allowed the install to continue. Now I'm obviously wondering what's going on.

Should I turn off UAC to uninstall? That's not safe computing but I may not have any other choice. Can I do a full, clean, manual uninstall? If so, can you point me to directions for that?
